How to apply your Molding Mates.
It’s easy: just peel and stick! (just
like a package of regular stickers). Peel the design away from the backing and
apply it to your surface. Just that quick you have transformed your space into
a unique environment! You’re now an interior decorator!
If you want to take down your
Molding Mates for an extended period of time, save the backing for reuse.
Placing them back on the backing will keep them sticky and ready to re-apply.
It’s always best to test in an inconspicuous
area before applying. If the surface is textured, wet, dusty, or dirty,
performance could be seriously diminished.
How to apply to painted walls.
- Clean the wall and make sure it is dry and free of dust or dirt.
- Freshly painted walls should be allowed to “cure” for 10 to 15
days prior to applying decals.
How to apply in a bathroom or around
water.
- Molding Mates CAN be applied to tiles as long as the surface is
clean and completely dry during installation. Make sure the design does not
overlap any grout.
- Molding Mates CAN be applied to shower walls as long as they are
placed tightly onto the surface so water cannot reach under the design.
- We would not recommend placing at the bottom or inside a bathtub.
- When cleaning, take care to avoid spraying any harmful chemicals
on or near your decals!
How to apply to other surfaces.
- These will not work well on brick, cinder block, ”orange peel“ textured
walls or porous surfaces.
- We would not recommended for use on wallpaper or delicate surfaces.

Readjusting your Molding Mates.
Simply peel them off the wall. That's
it!
Tip: Start with the largest end or
piece of the decal first. Remember to go slowly: pull too hard or too fast, you
might distort or even rip the design!
One of the unique features of
Molding Mates wall decals is that they are adjustable! The long-lasting but
non-permanent adhesive means they can be removed and re-applied over and over
again.
What not to do with my
Molding Mates.
- Do not place decals
in areas where they will be exposed to extreme heat or cold.
- Do not spray decals
with any chemicals, cleaners, or fragrances. Molding Mates can be cleaned with a
damp rag and a mild soap.
How to remove air bubbles.
When applying a wall decal, make sure
you start from one side or the top design. Keep the rest of the decal away from
the wall or surface. Slowly go down over the decal with your hand, and smooth
onto the surface, pressing out any air bubbles as you go. Once applied, you
should be able to move any remaining air bubbles out by pressing and smoothing
them out of the decal. If the problem persists, you can punch a tiny hole with
a pin to push the air out, or simply remove and re-apply.
What if my decal sticks to
itself?
If this does happen, though, just
stay calm! Slowly pull the decal apart, taking care to avoid ripping the design.
WARNING: Molding Mates are not responsible for any damage
caused by applying or removing a decal from any surface. Apply Molding Mates
Decals at your own risk.
** WARNING * CHOCKING HAZARD** Keep out of reach of children.
